WHAT YOU NEED
PREP & COOK
  • 2 lb. beef loin (makes 6-8 kabobs)

  • 3 bell peppers (red, yellow and green)

  • 12 large whole mushrooms

  • 1 large onion (red or white)

  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt

  • 1 Tbsp margarine or butter

  • 1 Tbsp Angell Spice Shake & Rub (your choice of heat)

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 1 Tbsp BBQ sauce

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Beef:
Cube beef loin into bite-sized pieces (approx. 1”x1”) so you have enough for 4 beef pieces per kabob. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, then mix. Add beef cubes to mixture then add 1/2 Tbsp of Angell Spice Shake & Rub. Mix until fully coated. Cover and let stand in fridge until remaining prep is completed.

Veggies:
Chop peppers and onions into bite-sized pieces (approx. 1”x1”) so you have enough for 8 bell pepper pieces per kabob and 4 onion pieces per kabob. Wash and slice mushrooms in half (from stem to cap).
In a medium sized bowl, add melted butter and garlic salt stir. Then add mushrooms coating the entirely then add remaining veggies. Lightly toss.

Basting Sauce:
In a small bowl add BBQ sauce, Worcestershire sauce and remaining Angell Spice Shake & Rub. Stir and let sit in fridge until needed

RECIPE NOTES & TIPS
  • Feel free to add other veggies such as eggplant or zucchini

  • Consider replacing half of the beef with chicken (prepped the same way)

Shish kabobs are one of those dishes that are can be customized to your's and everyone's taste. Each person can add what they want and leave out want they don’t while making the kabobs making everyone happy! Kabobs do require a bit more prep but because they are so versatile it’s definitely worth it!

Our recipe is only one way to make shish kabobs but it highlights how we incorporate Angell Spice Shake & Rub into a beef dish!

Skewers:
If using wood skewers, soak in water for at least 1 hr. before using. If using metal skewers spray with Pam or grease before adding beef and veggies (this will help from food sticking to the skewers during the cooking process).

Thread beef and veggies onto skewers bell pepper, onion, bell pepper, beef, mushroom. Repeat sequence until all ingredients are skewered.

Grilling:

Grill kabobs directly over heat source for about 15 to 20 minutes, turning 1/4 rotation every 3-4 mins and brushing with basting sauce with each rotation until the meat is cooked throughout.
